| I was talking to a friend the other night and this was our conversation:
J (him): did you know i have a sister w/ autism?
K (me): no.
J: well, i do. and sometimes i feel guilty about wondering what it would be like to have a normal sister
K: *speechless*
That was it, but its stuck with me. I doubt he remembers the conversation, for he was not sober, but i have a feeling what he told me is true.
How does one respond to that last statement made by him?

| i know, you've heard it before...theres an earthquake in haiti. well, guess what? my brother and sister are from haiti, and their orphanage needs our help. they are already full of kids, and are expecting more as time goes on because of the earthquakes. | Warner Bros. new horror movie Orphan proclaims that it must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own. Let me tell you about how an orphan changed my life... My family adopted two orphans 5 years ago. My life is fuller now than it was before. I have seen the plight of the orphans in haiti. (i have not seen the movie, only a trailer). the movie seems to be false advertising. I love my adopted siblings as much as my biological siblings. there is a quote in the movie that says "It must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own" which is false.
